Economic Development Week is May 12 - 16
Last week we celebrated Small Business Week and recognized the impact of small businesses on our economy and in our community. This week we continue acknowledging small businesses and beyond as Economic Development Week encompasses all facets of San Antonio's economic community. The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) created Economic Development Week in 2016 to recognize the work that economic developers do in their communities. Economic Development Week is celebrated annually, highlighting the programs, best practices, and individuals that positively impact life in their communities.
Demonstration Event (Virtual) - Economic Performance Dashboard
Hosted by City of San Antonio Economic Development Department

May is Military Appreciation Month
This month is a time designated to honor and recognize the contributions, sacrifices, and service of the members of the armed forces, past and present. In San Antonio, also known as Military USA, we acknowledge the military community year 'round. Veterans play a role in our economy as well, as business owners. We encourage everyone, while supporting local businesses, to look to veteran-owned businesses as well. They make up a part of the City's small, minority, and women businesses in our community. We salute our active-duty service people and retired veterans, their families, and the businesses they drive to support our economy.
