Proposed World Heritage Street Name Changes Survey
World Heritage Office
Stage 1: Community Engagement
Open Date: June 29, 2020 Close Date: July 31, 2020
The purpose of this community survey is to assess the community’s input on renaming some streets in the World Heritage area. In 2016, the San Antonio River Authority commissioned a study led by CP&Y Inc. to examine ways to improve signage and wayfinding throughout the city’s World Heritage area. The study included trails and routes and recommended renaming some surface streets to create a continuous Mission Road that would serve as the World Heritage Trail (formerly Mission Trail). The change would eliminate confusion for residents, tourists, and visitors to the San Antonio Missions. There are eight proposed street name changes. Please indicate your support for or against each individual proposed street name change. You can also provide any additional comments at the end of the survey. Surveys will be collected until July 31, 2020.
