Planning for Micromobility in the City of San Antonio

Public Works Department

Stage 1: Community Engagement

Open Date: September 1, 2020   Close Date: October 1, 2020

Complete Streets with opportunities for safe and reliable transportation options for all modes has been a focus for the City of San Antonio since 2011. To advance and support these initiatives, new and robust policies must be adopted to guide the planning and implementation of our infrastructure. This starts with embracing the concept of micromobility as a city. Micromobility includes pedestrians, bicyclists, ADA-assisted vehicles/wheelchairs, electric bicycles (e-bikes), and electric scooters. The City of San Antonio wants to work with you on policies and plans to meet this changing landscape. New technologies, such as e-bikes or electric scooters, are making it easier for people to choose active modes of transportation that best fit their lifestyles/commuting distance on our city streets.

You can provide input for the development of this policy by taking our online survey.
