The Bond Project will construct pedestrian improvements to include sidewalks, curbs, driveway approaches, and other improvements as applicable and within available funding. This is a multi-phased project.

What you need to know:

The Southcross Boulevard Phase 2 Project has reached substantial completion. The newly constructed roadway and Shared Use Path are now open and accessible to the public.

This project enhaces local infrastructure and connectivity with its new traffic & pedestrian signals, and road & sidewalk repairs. The City’s partner in this project, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), has pending improvements that are expected to complete within the railroad right-of-way in the following months. The newly installed traffic signals will remain non-operational until Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) completes its pending work, allowing them to operate in coordination with the railroad crossing arms and mark the successful completion of the project.
