What You Need to Know:
The contractor, Capital Excavation, continues to make progress on the new underground drainage system along Evans Road. This work will continue through August 2026. Crews are currently working along a portion of the eastbound side of Evans Road. Construction at the Roan Park turnaround at Evans Road is scheduled to begin in mid-August and is expected to be completed by mid-September 2026.
Traffic Impact:
- Evans Road (Eastbound): A portion of one eastbound travel lane will be closed leading up to the Roan Park intersection.
- Evans Road (Westbound): All westbound travel lanes will remain open.
Roan Park Turnaround Partial Closure:
- The east side of the Roan Park turnaround at Evans Road will close while crews install a new box culvert for the drainage system. One lane in each direction will remain open on the west side.
- Once drainage work on the east side is complete, crews will begin work on the west side. Traffic will then shift to the east side.
- The Roan Park crossing will remain open throughout construction.
- Temporary adjustments will be made to the traffic signals at Roan Park and Evans Road to help vehicles move safely through the area.
- Access to neighborhood driveways, businesses and schools will be maintained throughout construction.
