Project Update:
We are pleased to provide an update on the upcoming traffic, pedestrian, and safety improvements scheduled for our community. These targeted infrastructure upgrades are designed to enhance traffic flow, improve pedestrian accessibility, and increase overall safety across several key intersections. Please review the detailed project scopes and timelines for each location below.
Cutter Green Drive / Ashton Village Drive at Bitters Road
- Signal improvements are scheduled to begin in Fall 2026. This phase of the project will include the installation of new traffic and pedestrian signals, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant ramps. Additionally, crews will perform complete roadway resurfacing throughout the intersection.
Rogers Wood Drive / Inwood Cove Drive at Bitters Road
- Safety and accessibility upgrades are scheduled to start in Winter 2027. This phase of the project will focus on new signage and pedestrian paths. Improvements include the installation of flashing stop signs, alongside new sidewalks designed to seamlessly match the adjacent exposed aggregate sidewalks.
Bitters Road Turn Lane at Huebner Road
- Construction on these turn lane enhancements are expected to begin in Winter 2027. The scope of work features a new southbound right-turn lane on Bitters Road, as well as a northbound protected left-turn lane on Huebner Road to safely serve the Circle K.
Bitters Road Turn Lane at Loop 1604
- Traffic flow improvements at this intersection will focus on expanding lane capacity, and are estimated to begin in June 2027, and will include the construction of a dedicated northbound right-turn lane on Bitters Road to Loop 1604.
Upcoming Public Meeting
- Final design plans and anticipated lane closures will be presented to the public at an upcoming pre-construction meeting. Invitations will be sent out in the coming months. Please look out for a flyer in your mailbox and plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
