What you need to know:
Construction is moving forward on the Culebra Park Area Streets Project, with contractor Roman Road Emperors continuing underground water line upgrades on Laven Dr. and Pettus Street and expected to wrap up in early November, 2026. Starting as early as September 21 through mid-October 2026, work will extend to the north lanes of Culebra Rd. to install new drainage infrastructure.
Traffic & Detours
- The north lanes on Culebra Rd. between Brendell St. and El Centro St. will close. Two-way traffic will shift to the two south lanes.
- Laven Dr. continues restricted to northbound traffic only. The southbound lane and west sidewalk are closed; the east sidewalk remains open.
- Pettus St. continues to have the westbound lane closed. The eastbound lane and south sidewalk remain open.
- All business and residential driveways remain accessible.
- Please follow posted detour signs and slow down in the work zone.
