What You Need to Know:

 

Elecnor Belco contractor will begin construction on South Brazos Street in August 2026 through October 2027. They will begin with new underground SAWS utility work on the southbound travel lane of South Brazos Street between Colima Street and Apache Creek as early as, August 4 through November 2026.

Traffic and Detours:

  • One lane between Colima St. and Apache Creek will be closed for construction but the existing turn lane will be temporarily utilized to maintain two-way traffic.
  • Westside sidewalk will be closed, eastside sidewalk will remain open.
  • Property Access: All side streets will remain open to traffic. All property driveways will remain accessible at all times.
  • Surrounding neighborhoods, businesses, and schools will remain accessible throughout construction.
