The San Antonio Public Library is nearing completion of a $3.3 million 2017 Bond project to renovate Memorial Branch Library. An installation recognizing United States military branches will be built in the library lobby, honoring those who died in military service to the United States of America.

An original poem by Dr. Carmen Tafolla will go on the top of the stainless-steel installation.

Dr. Tafolla invited ideas and emotions regarding the message in the poem that will be part of this installation.
