Monticello Park & Jefferson Area Projects (W Kings Hwy, Kampmann Blvd, and North Dr.)
Street Rehabilitation on W Kings Hwy, Kampmann Blvd, and North Dr are programmed in FY 2025 & FY 2026 Infrastructure Management Programs (IMP) to improve the current roadway conditions, as well as alleviate water ponding via surface runoff. In an effort to minimize traffic disruption and optimize project delivery, the improvements are proposed in 8 phases.
Project Area
- W Kings Hwy (Kampmann Blvd to Lake Blvd)
- Kampmann Blvd (Leming Dr to North Dr)
- Kampmann Blvd (Donaldson Ave to W Woodlawn)
- North Dr (Wilson Blvd to Fredericksburg Rd
Improvements Include:
- Pavement Rehabilitation
- Sidewalks: North Dr only.
- As required: curbs, driveway approaches, and ADA ramps.

Estimated Construction Timeline: Phases 1-8: April 2025 to February 2027
- This project will be built in multiple construction phases. Prior to each construction phase, a separate notification will be distributed to impacted residents.
Estimated Timeline Construction Seasons are identified as: Winter (January, February, March), Spring (April, May, June), Summer (July, August, September), and Fall (October, November, December.)

Join Public Works and Council District 7 to discuss the Monticello Park & Jefferson Area Projects to include Kampmann Blvd. and North
Drive.
Project Update: March 16, 2026
Beginning March 23, 2026, through August 31, 2026, road work will take place on Kampmann Blvd. from Leming Dr. to West Woodlawn. Work will include removing the existing deteriorated roadway surface and applying new asphalt. All work is weather permitting.
Please remember:
- No parking on the street from 7 AM to 7 PM. Any vehicles in path of project will be towed to a nearby street.
- No thru traffic, except emergency vehicles after 8:30 am.
- Remove all personal items, recreational and decorative items away from the curb line as we can't be responsible it they are damaged.
- Avoid driving over the oil mixture to prevent tracking.
