Bike Network Plan
Bike Network Plan
On January 30, 2025, City Council adopted the 2025 San Antonio Bike Network Plan (BNP), setting in motion the transformation of bicycling in San Antonio by providing safer, more comfortable bike paths for those who use bicycles for recreation, work, and travel.
Bike Network Plan Open House #2
Join us at the Ramon V. Quintero Community Center (formerly known as Southside Lions Community Center) for our final public input meeting regarding the Bike Network Plan!
Residents can still provide valuable feedback through comment cards and map comments at the event. This feedback will be incorporated into the final plan where applicable, with a completed plan expected early next year.
The BNP is based upon an evaluation of all areas of San Antonio. Additionally, it examined current regulations and re-evaluated City programs and initiatives to provide clearer guidance on how to achieve safer streets and account for all transportation modes in planning, design, and implementation of bike lanes as they relate to citizens’ transportation needs.
The plan recommends the construction of more than 1700 miles of new or upgraded bike infrastructure in the coming years, to be paid for by a variety of funding sources.
