The Under 1 Roof Program provides roof shingle replacement with Shasta white shingles to improve a home’s energy efficiency. This program provides a one-time grant to eligible San Antonio homeowners. Homeowner’s must continue to own and live in the home for five years after the roof replacement is completed.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a current year Homestead Exemption on the property.

• Property taxes must be current and/or have less than $5,000 in active deferral

• All owner(s) must live in the home

• Any lines and judgements must be less than $5,000

• Gross income must not exceed 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI)

• Property can have metal roof, gravel roof, clay tiles or wood shingles
