The San Antonio Transportation Department will be making improvements to five Quiet Zone crossings within Districts 1 and 9 to maintain compliance with federal regulations.
Improvements include:
- Installing signs
- Adding and refreshing pavement markings
- Extension of raised concrete medians

- Jones Maltsberger: Lane Closure – 1 day for signs/striping
- Basse: Detour – 1 day for signs and striping and Lane Closure – 1 day for concrete work (2 days)
- Zilla: Detour – 1 day for signs and striping and 1 day for concrete work (2 days)
- Dora: Detour – 1 day for signs/striping
Total working days: 9 days
Crossings improvements will be staggered to help minimize any impact to travel. Please seek alternate routes during construction.
