2022-2027 Bond Project: North New Braunfels Avenue Phase 2 (East Houston Street to Paso Hondo Street)
The Bond Project will construct roadway improvements to include sidewalks, driveway approaches, trees and irrigation, as well as joint bid utility work including valve adjustments, manhole reconstruction, and other improvements as applicable and within available funding.

Project Limits:
Contractor J3 Construction Company continues to work on center raised medians between E. Houston St. and Gibbs St., on east sidewalks and curbs between Paso Hondo St. and Center St. as well as installation of pedestrian signals on N. New Braunfels and Canton St. Current traffic and detour routes remain in place. Please review detailed information below:
- One southbound travel lane remains open from E. Houston St. to Paso Hondo St.
- Northbound travel lane remains closed from Paso Hondo St. to Center St. and open to traffic at the N. New Braunfels St. and Center St. intersection.
- The median openings at Canton St. and E. Crockett St. are open to traffic.
- West sidewalks, driveways and parking lots will be open and accessible for businesses at all times
- East sidewalk, driveways and parking lots are closed and side streets are open for full access to business.
- All work is weather permitted and subject to change
