2022-2027 Bond Project: North New Braunfels Avenue Phase 2 (East Houston Street to Paso Hondo Street)
The Bond Project will construct roadway improvements to include sidewalks, driveway approaches, trees and irrigation, as well as joint bid utility work including valve adjustments, manhole reconstruction, and other improvements as applicable and within available funding.

Project Limits:
Contractor J3 will shift construction activities to the south side of N. New Braunfels Ave. between Gibbs St. and Paso Hondo St. as early as 6/27/25. Construction zone will be placed on the southeast side of N. New Braunfels Ave. on the block between Gibbs St. and Paso Hondo St. The Northbound travel lanes on N. New Braunfels Ave. from Paso Hondo St. to Gibbs St. will be closed to traffic. Northbound travel lanes from E. Commerce Ave. to Paso Hondo St. will be closed to through traffic and restricted to local traffic only. One southbound travel lane on the west side of N. New Braunfels Ave. will be open at all times. The intersection crossings at Center St. and E. Crocket St. will re-open to traffic. A detour route will be put in place to shift northbound traffic onto E. Commerce St. at the intersection of N. New Braunfels Ave.
