Vision Zero in San Antonio was establis in 2015. San Antonio’s Vision Zero Action Plan was the first in Texas and followed cutting-edge guidance at the time.

2016- Ongoing: Establishing Safety Improvements

The City has embarked on numerous safety-focused infrastructure projects and policies, including deploying dozens of mid-block crossings on high-injury corridors around the city - improving safety for pedestrians crossing busy roadways like Fredericksburg Rd., Culebra Rd. and West Commerce.
