원래 선형 공원으로 개발되었던 리버 워크는 1940년대에 점진적인 홍수 조절 및 미화 사업의 일환으로 개량되었습니다. 지난 80년 동안 샌안토니오 다운타운 개발의 중심 역할을 해왔습니다. 샌안토니오 시는 사업 성장을 지원하고, 활성화를 촉진하며 , 리버 워크를 주민과 방문객 모두 에게 세계적인 명소로 자리매김하기 위한 노력에 전념하고 있습니다 .
역사 보존국(Office of Historic Preservation)의 주도로, 리버워크 관련 향후 의사 결정 및 투자의 틀을 마련하기 위한 새로운 리버워크 전략 계획이 수립되고 있습니다 . 이 프로젝트는 설문조사(아래 링크 참조) 및 향후 공청회 등 여러분이 바라는 개선 사항을 자유롭게 말씀해 주실 수 있는 다양한 기회를 제공할 것입니다.
Public Meeting for the River Walk Strategic Plan
Join us for the first public meeting of the River Walk Strategic Plan, an important community effort to shape the future of one of the nation’s most iconic public spaces. This event will introduce the planning process, share what we hope to learn from residents and stakeholders, and provide opportunities for you to share your ideas, concerns, and vision for the River Walk’s next chapter.
During the meeting, attendees will:
Learn about the goals and timeline of the Strategic Plan.
Hear from project leaders and subject-matter experts.
Participate in interactive activities designed to gather community input.
Connect with staff and partners who are helping guide the process.
