Updating the Short Term Rentals Ordinance
In response to the City Council's Planning and Community Development Committee's request to make adjustments to the current Short Term Rentals (STR) ordinance, our department will be working with a task force to review the ordinance and recommend amendments focused on the following areas:
- Permit compliance
- Compliance with the Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT)
- Strategies for ordinance enforcement and violations
- Events and party violations
- Permit fees
- Limited Liability Corporations (LLC) versus property owners
- Platform obligations
This is a working document that will be updated with proposed amendments as they are discussed in task force meetings.
